Arrive before the sun
The best seat is not only a table. It is a timing decision. Come early, let the river settle, order something cold.
How an evening unfolds at Belle Rive — from the first pot of lemongrass tea to the last boat going dark.
Belle Rive sits where the peninsula softens and the crowds thin out — the Mekong wide and slow, the far bank all forest and morning mist. The terrace steps down to the water on old teak, shaded by frangipani, cooled by whatever breeze the river sends up.
By day it is a place for slow breakfasts and cold juice. By evening it becomes something else entirely.

Explore the Belle Rive Terrace in 360 degrees — the river, the tables and the view beyond.

Our kitchen keeps to the food of Luang Prabang: herbs pounded fresh, sausage smoked over coconut husk, river fish wrapped in banana leaf and steamed until it falls from the bone. Nothing is fussed over. Everything is seasoned to be eaten with sticky rice, by hand, slowly.
Alongside it, a short list of assorted wine and a bar that takes the sunset seriously.
Ask for a front row table when you book. We’ll hold the light for you.

Start with seaweed, sausage, salad and sticky rice. The table loosens up when the food is passed by hand.
Fish in banana leaf, herbs, wine, then dessert after the river has gone dark. That is the Belle Rive pace.
